Chronic pelvic pain: True chronic PID is rare if it occurs at all. However, pelvic pain can follow PID and the pain can come and go. In other words, pain alone usually doesn't mean there is still active infection or inflammation. Continue to follow up with your gynecologist. Good luck.

Going for ultrasound due to some on and off spotting. Doctor did pelvic exam. She said all looked/felt normal. Ordered an ultrasound to double check everything since I have history of a uterine polyp. Is the best time to do ultrasound after period?
