No sure way, but...: If a person's nearsightedness correction power is "increasing rapidly", she should be reevaluated by an MD ophthalmologist to see if anything unusual is going on. Usually, a child's, teen's or young adult's nearsightedness slowly increases each year until her eyes stabilize. There is no proven way to naturally stop the progression of one's nearsightedness.
