28 y/o female, in my fourth week of 40mg of isotretinoin a day. strating to really dry out. is it a good sign to have such clogged pores, black heads?

Twisted question: Dry skin, nose, mouth, eyes is expected. You may have lips like potato chips. This is an early sign that the med is working to shrink your oil glands. "Black heads" are NOT due to dry skin and are NOT caused by isotretinoin. You may expect that they will go away with continued treatment and higher dose. Usual course is 5 months, typical dose is 40mg twice a day.
