Yes: In general, a 73 year-old with fatigue and a low grade fever of 100 should see her doctor, but a 37 year-old with the same 100 degree temperature can just call her doctor for advice or just wait to see how the next day goes. Older folks are more fragile, so need to be seen sooner. For example, a 73 year-old may have pneumonia or another infection and only have a low grade fever and feel tired.
