Is there scientific logic behind evil eye superstition that if someone jealous of you see you they cast evil curse and you become ill?

Probably not, but...: Is evil in the eye of the beholder? And who is the beholder? Maybe the receiver of a "curse" only receives a harsh stare, an "evil look", from the caster of the "curse"... but the receiver thinks he is now cursed. He obsesses about his new curse, and the reasons why he is cursed, and the reasons why the caster of the curse is "jealous". Such obsessive thoughts make himself sick. And so it happens.
