Swelling in arm near: mastectomy site is unfortunately a risk factor. Your mom may have a condition called lymphedema, wherein lymph fluid collects because some lymph glads have been removed. Encourage your mom to discuss this w/her doctor. There are treatments for it. Peace and good health.
