Self-diagnosis.: It would not be expected that Omeprazole would worsen symptoms. The concern would really be that you're treating something with Omeprazole which would not be helped by Omeprazole. If you don't feel any relief in one week, then you should visit with a doctor to get a formal diagnosis.
