A member asked:

Can sex prevent menstrual cramps? i always get extreme cramps before and on my period and i'm supposed to start it this week but not having any cramps

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not supposed to: If u are worried about preg do a test, assuming your period starts and everything is ok and normal length and flow then that is fine, but your gyn can do an exam and blood work and an ultrasound to make sure everything is ok and no reason to suffer with cramps as there are many options to stop or improve the cramping, or your period, no reason to suffer if u do not have to.
