Woke up yesterday with hard smooth lump in left side of my neck. today left side of my neck feels kind of stiff, sore and itchy. what could this be?

Neck lump: This may be an enlarged lymph node which is a response to some irritation or skin inflammation possibly from cosmetics, jewellery,clothing,etc. It could also have been due to an insect bite. If the redness is not severe, try applying a cortisone type cream. If redness worsens, if the lump doesn't recede or if new ones appear, see your physician for evaluation.
