Have a checkup: Your cat likely scratched the delicate mucous membrane of the eye resulting in a Subconjunctival hemorrhage & possible laceration. Cats nails are not sterile and your scratch is susceptible to infection. See an ophthalmologist to assess and treat. I'm sure you will be given antibiotic drops. Not likely but a bite or scratch from a cat can cause cat scratch fever.
