Odd comment: If you have ever seen a doc for a physical you have had a skin exam. It is often not discussed much during the process, but it is part of a general exam. If you have particular areas/moles/you want to ask about your doc could do an initial exam.If s/he feels it is unusual and needs a dermatology consult s/he can set it up for you.Some insurances let you self refer to a derm on their list, check it
