4yr has had shin bone pain almost every night since she was 2yrs old, xray clear. always only in one leg, hurt to bear weight on it yesterday.

Bone scan?: Sometimes small bone abnormalities are not detected on plain radiographs. Bone scan with radio tracer can identify metabolic activity. Bonescan is sensitive but not specific. If abnormality found a mr or ct scan can be used to better define cause of pain. If bone scan is normal in this child's age often related to growing pains.
