Irregular ovulation: Some women just naturally have irregular periods. This is usually caused by infrequent (not regular) ovulation. The longer you go between periods, the thicker the uterine lining builds. So when you finally do have your menses it can be heavy and long. You might be anemic (feel tired, dizzy, low energy). If that feeling persists or gets worse, see your doctor. BCPs can keep your menses regular
