Why ask here?: It's SOP before a procedure to have the patient read, discuss & sign a consent form that should describe the procedure & will (or should) specifically list all the possible complications of the procedure. A good practitioner will (or should) also provide you with printed aftercare instructions. If these are not happening, you have a legitimate concern. Ask.
