Arm pain: Assuming there has been no injury, strain, discoloration or swelling, this may be related to a nerve or nerve root impingement from a disc or spur in the region of your neck vertebrae. Primary inflammation of an arm nerve or muscle doesn't appear likely. If symptoms don't resolve with rest, Tylenol (acetaminophen) or, if you can take them, Advil or Aleve, consult your physician or a neurologist.
