Malignant hypertherm: Yes, it usually occurs only when a person is exposed to volatile anesthetic gases, such as halothane, sevoflurane, desflurane, isoflurane, Enflurane or the depolarizing muscle relaxants suxamethonium and decamethonium used primarily in general anesthesia. Other drugs include ketamine, catecholamines, phenothiazines, and monoamine oxidase inhibitors.

Malignant hypertherm: Malignant hyperthermia happens in response to triggering agents in susceptible people. This disorder cannot take lace without a triggering medication.
