Yesterday i had severe gas, stomach pain attacks. now i have brown, hard stool followed by very dark, soft stool with a black material. is it serious?

Black stool: A stool GUAIC test, or hemocult test, is needed to ensure there is no blood in your stool since bleeding in the stomach and intestines is life threatening. Blood can turn the stool a black, tarry color. Dark stools can also be caused by pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate). See a doctor today.
