A member asked:

Is it typical for spo2 to be lower than your average with a bad cold? i'm fluctuating between 92% and 97% normally i am 99% do i need to worry?

Pneumonia suspected: A 'bad cold' could mean a number of things - but I worry in your case you might have some congestion in the lungs. You should get formal evaluation for this - a chest X-ray would be most helpful. "Just a cold" should NOT drop your oxygen levels like that. If you've measured them as significantly lower like this, you could have pneumonia. My differential includes CHF- so get checked out ASAP.
