My 7 month old son has nasal congestion. is it ok to use vick's vapor rub on his soles then put socks on?

I wouldn't: This is an old myth based on adult treatments.Infants have tiny nasal passages the react with swelling and congestion to any irritant; be it smoke, dust or the fumes or fragrance created by Vicks.I never recommend it before school age. I consider it air pollution when used around infants.
