A member asked:

I have tinea versicolor, i have been using a lotion for it, it mostly went away. i got sunburnt on top of it and its peeling and back. is it tv?

Probably not, but: not sure. Since TV damages skin pigment (hence the name versicolor), that area of skin is more sensitive to sunburn that normal skin. Also, with sun exposure, the normal skin gets darker and the contrast between that and the affected skin is greater. That could make it seem like the TV has recurred. Use sunscreen! Take OTC pain killer if needed. Retreat if symptoms recur or rash spreads.
