A member asked:

Does low testosterone cause ed, and is hypogonagism the common cause of ed my t was at 197ng/dl, so so low am now on trt, and hope my ed is resolved?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: The process of achieving and maintaining an adequate erection is a complex interplay between psychological (brain) and physical factors (vascular, nervous, and hormonal systems and local anatomic). Most common cause of ED are those conditions that affect normal blood flow (vascular): diabetes, HTN, high lipids, age-related atherosclerosis. Low T also causes ED but correlates more with libido loss.
