I woke up sunday with bad pain under both ribs as if i had been throwing up all night. monday the pain is concentrated on my right side what could be causing this pain?

See you physician: Pain located in the right upper abdominal area can be caused by several things but most especially gall bladder disease. You may have eaten something the night before that didn't agree with you and this caused a flair up of pain. I would have your gall bladder evaluated as this is a common source of abdominal pain.

You need to have: Blood tests, such as liver function tests, and imaging tests, such as ultrasound. It could be appendicitis too, or any of the 100's of causes of abdominal pain you doctor should be able tell you what you have.
