See you physician: Pain located in the right upper abdominal area can be caused by several things but most especially gall bladder disease. You may have eaten something the night before that didn't agree with you and this caused a flair up of pain. I would have your gall bladder evaluated as this is a common source of abdominal pain.

You need to have: Blood tests, such as liver function tests, and imaging tests, such as ultrasound. It could be appendicitis too, or any of the 100's of causes of abdominal pain you doctor should be able tell you what you have.
