Usually this is a -: -ganglionic cyst from the extensor tendon, or from the joint. If it moves some as you flex & extend the finger it's tendon, if it does not move & the tendon hood glides over it, it's most likely joint. If interfering with your daily life, or growing bigger, see an orthopedic surgeon. Also could be a giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath. So, an eval by an ortho will help you.
