ValSalva?: I assume you must blow rather hard to hit the high notes on a trumpet? So you may be increasing your intra-abdominal pressure just as you might if blowing up a very tight balloon, or pushing out a bowel movement. If this is making you light headed it implies that the blood flow to your brain is being blocked and that could be very dangerous at your age of 46 years. See a clinic, bring trumpet!
