IT IS A COMMON: MISCONCEPTION that the major symptom of a brain tumor is HEADACHE...this only occurs with larger tumors (and OTHER symptoms are much more common plus NEUROLOGIC changes occur before headache per se) It is also COMMON SENSE that (as you point out) the headaches from such tumors do not "go away"!
