I have a scar on my knee from 18yrs ago. yesterday i noticed a red spot on it and the area that is pink. doesn't hurt or itch. what could it be?

Need more info: Knees are subject to trauma. Even a mild contusion or just bending down on your knee can cause redness. Also consider an insect bite. If the discoloration continues for over a week with or without changes I would suggest that you have your family physician take a look at it.
