Neck: It may seem to you that the sound is emanating from your skull, but it is most likely that the sound comes from ligaments or vertebrae in your neck. These are characteristically clicking sounds and they rarely signify serious pathology. If you still have concerns, consult an orthopedic specialist for evaluation and advice.
