A member asked:

Is there a limit to how much pedialyte i should drink in a 24hr period? i'm 9wks pregnant with some n/v, decreased appetite and dislike plain water

Drink as needed: Congratulations. In terms of Pedialyte, drinking it like water is fine as long as you make sure to limit how much salt you take in from other liquids or solids. Too much salt is not good for the heart or kidneys.

Simple limits: If you drink to the point your body tells you to pee every 4 hours you are amply hydrated. Any more and you are overdoing it. More than 8 hours and you are a little dry.You might also try half strength Gateraid. When diluted it is near what Pedialyte offers and comes in more flavors. It's also less costly.
