Heat stroke: When your body temperature regulating system fails during extreme heat, your sweating mechanism ceases to work and your body temperature rises to very high levels causing brain damage and other organ failures. Of course the degree of sweating under less than extremes of heat can vary from one person to the next without dangerous effects.
