See below : If UTI diagnosis correct and bacteria sensitive to nitrofurantoin which is very good choice of antibiotic for simple UTIs/bladder infections without fever, then your may notice improvement in symptoms as soon as 24 hrs if treatment initiated soon after symptom onset or may take 48-72 hrs if symptoms and inflammation have been present for several days or longer. Should take Nitrofurantoin 5-7 days.
