Probably floater : Your description sounds like a vitreous floater. As long as your visual acuity is not altered, I would recommend scheduling a routine eye examination. However, if your vision has been affected or if you have associated flashes, obscuration of vision, distortion, pain, double vision, then seek immediate eye examination appointment. Generally floaters are a normal development with aging.
