It's not bad: As long as you're using the thermometer correctly, then it means you don't have a fever. A sensation of hot skin does not necessarily mean you're running a fever and could be related to dehydration which makes sense in the context of nausea. It may simply be a matter of drinking plenty of fluids and resting until feeling better.
