A member asked:

Can blood spills on the floor be harmful? if diluted with chemo or just regular blood spills from an iv line?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Contact with blood can transmit a number of infections. If the blood was mixed with chemo from a line that was dislodged, for example, additional precautions should be taken because chemo can be mutagenic. Always were gloves when cleaning up such an incident.
