Yes, he would: Gonorrhea almost always (95% of the time) causes obvious symptoms in men: pus dripping from the penis, painful urination. The immune system almost always clears gonmorrhea within a few months, so even if one of you was infected, it is very unlikely either of you still has it 16 months later. But to be certain, talk to your doctor about being tested. Very easy -- a urine specimen from each.
