Overuse injury...: Sounds like shin splints. You need to reduce intensity and distance to 50-60% levels. Run on flat and forgiving surfaces. You might want to evaluate your shoes and their ware. Application of ice, heat, stretching can all afford some degree of relief, but over use is the problem and reduction of activity is the answer.
