Probably just a bad: sign of a back sprain. Use moist heat,ibuprofen for relief. Rest. IIf not better 1 week,see a Dr. for a muscle relaxer..

Back pain: Most likely you strained a muscle. That is very common, and usually resolves within 7-10 days. Worrisome signs are numbness, weakness in a leg, or inability to control urine or stool (see a Dr right away for those). Rest your back today. Use ibuprofen 600 mg every 6 hrs (with food). A heating pad can feel good. Don't lift anything >15 pounds until you feel better. See Dr if worse.
