Peroneus tendons: The area you are describing suggests an injury of the peroneus longus or brevis tendons. Dancers and athletes who rapidly move their feet are more likely to cause injury or irritation of these tendons. I would recommend that she see her PMD to make sure she doesn't continue to worsen her injury.
