Mgt: I would suggest giving Motrin or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for children. If you apply Luke warm clothes to his head, it may keep him more comfortable. He should see your PCP to determine the cause of the fever and to rule out pneumonia.

Fever management: First dress down, assure that room temperature is comfortable. Provide adequate fluid, most children will do well with temperatures at or below 101. If continued chills with increasing fever, a lukewarm bath will help, if no improvement please consult with a doctor in HealthTap prime to check for the cause of fever
