See below: Not unusual to have some variable discomfort and/or urinary frequency, urgency, burning, mild bleeding for 1-2 days after a ureteral stent has been removed. If symptoms worsen or persist for more than 24-48 hrs or accompanied by a fever >100.5, you should contact your physician as may be indicative of a UTI that requires an antibiotic. OTC Pyridium (phenazopyridine) or antispasmodic may be helpful
