A member asked:

Is pre-ejaculate/semen that leaks out of vagina after intercourse dead or alive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Sperm, which is present in the semen as well as often within the pre-ejaculate, can survive about 20-60 minutes depending on the level of exposure of the sperm to the air and environmental factors. Once the ejaculation dries up, the sperm are no longer viable. On the other hand, sperm that remain "within" the female reproductive tract (vagina, uterus, tubes) can live up to about 5 days.
