A member asked:

My dad having died from severe sepsis looked desiccated after death, would sepsis do that to a person?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: I'm sorry about your dad. In sepsis, the vasculature loses water to the interstitial spaces. And a high body temperature can contribute to the body looking dried out quicker after death.
