This may be normal: She is of age 45-48 and is having serious stomach pain along with excessive bleeding. She did not have menstruation for around 3 months and now she has got bleeding. Various medicines are taken but effect is not made? Menopause usually takes place somewhere between age 38 and 55. When you go several months without having a menstruation cycle and then you have one, many times that menstruation is more painful, heavy bleeding and associated with blood clots that is not an unusual situation. One is considered in menopause when they have gone a full year with no menstrual cycle. Just as this may be a normal process, it may also be abnormal. We suggest you see your healthcare provider to further assess.
