How long do new (benign) moles continue to grow until they have reached their final size? i assume they don't fully appear overnight.

Wrong question: Whether it grows, how fast it grows, how large it gets are all so variable there is no meaningful answer to this question. If you are worried, see a dermatologist. We are looking for changing nevi, black or multicolored nevi, those with very irregular shapes, those that bleed.

How long does it take for a normal mole to form? I have one under my breast that's pretty new and is still small (like 1mm). It looks like it's getting slightly bigger, though. I wasn't sure if mole formation is a longer process or an overnight one?
Will a melanoma always grow and change shape? I have a mole I'm concerned about only because it's somewhat new (2017) shape and size seems to be the same. Color got darker after I accidently scratched it off.. Hyperpigmentation maybe?
Mole hasnt evolved/changed in any way, shape, or form in almost 3 months. Is it safe to assume said mole is benign?
