The tests for Cavernous sinus thrombosis include:: Antiphospholipid antibody panel, Blood culture, Complete blood count, MRI of head with contrast, Lumbar puncture, Protein C and S activity, Antithrombin III activity, Factor V mutation analysis, CT of brain, Hemoglobin electrophoresis.

Brain scans: Usually this is diagnosed by a cat scan or MRI of the brain, either of which would be quite accurate in diagnosis this condition.
