A member asked:

Why does the sound of aluminum foil crinkling (like the ones used as medicine foil) cause my right ear to produce quiet drumming/vibrating sounds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hyperacusis~: hello ~ it could be that you are sensitive to the lower decibel range of sounds but it could also mean you have a conductive fall off of hearing. Have your ears checked for wax and removed if you have it and if not have a proper hearing test (audiology) it might be revealing. Probably worth seeing an ENT guy anyway. Ok? thanks
