Side effects...: ...of marijuana include increased appetite and weight gain, so it kind of ruins whatever effect you are hoping for from topiramate. Sounds like an individual decision, how bad the pain is vs the weight problem, and is the pain weight related -- in which case cannabis is the last thing you'd want for the pain.
