Yes: Dear WHarris, yes, if you have had kidney stones in the past and this pain feels the same, then it would be better to have a doctor evaluation. Sometimes, the stones can be too big to pass through and they can block the passage of urine and then the backed up urine can damage the kidney. I hope you feel better soon.
