I have a cough that leaves me breathless an a sharp stabbing pain in the centre of my chest what can i do to get rid of it?

Get examined: You can try some Advil (ibuprofen) or Aleve( if not allergic to these medicines) for the pain related to coughing; however, I recommend a medical examination and a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia and or pleurisy. I suggest an immediate evaluation.
