Ortho Home defense: From the Ortho site - it contains 2 ingredients Bifenthrin and Zeta Cypermethrin. both have low toxicity towards mammals (humans). skin contact is not toxic but ingestion is. So - best recommendation - spray when the air is still - keep everyone out of the treated area until it dries. See http://npic.orst.edu/factsheets/bifgen.html and http://npic.orst.edu/factsheets/cypermethrin.pdf
