Ultrasound: Pain after eating a fatty mean may be a sign of a gallbladder that isnt working. So a history and physical exam is the most important thing. Next your doctor may order an ultrasound. They may see gall stones or sludge. That is small stones that may block the duct. The gall bladder is a storage vessel. They may also order a hida scan to assess function.
